Debanma Children's Corner
Shefshefit is a beautiful place in Keren. The sun shines all throughout the day, unlike here in
London. There are houses situated in a sort of circle with a big area for the kids to play.
Everybody knows one another and are very friendly towards each other. You are free to do as
you please until finally the sun sets to signal the end of the day. (Rim Mowes Ghebre, 14)

Keren: Keren is a medium sized village. It has got a lot of nice houses
and big mountains. When I first arrived, I thought it was really hot. I
went to Keren to visit my grandma and grandpa. Keren has got a lot of
nice and kind people. The good thing about Keren is that they let
animals run freely. The food they sell is very nice and tasty. Keren was
very enjoyable to go to. (Nadi MowesGhebre - 12)
Agerbeb: I am writing about a village in Eritrea called Agerbeb. I
visited Agerbeb during the summer holidays. While I was in
Agerbeb, I saw a lot of huts randomly scattered around the village.
In Agerbeb, I met all my family from my dad’s side of the family. I
found Agerbeb an interesting place to visit. (by Sergel Frezghi

Report on Keren: a town in Eritrea is very hot. Recently, there has
been a drought there due to little rain. The buildings in Keren are
built on a slope heading towards the mountains. The people in
Keren are kind and friendly. Keren is a fantastic place to visit. The
visit was extremely fun and taught me about the life of people in
Eritrea. It showed how hard and difficult it was to have a good life.
This holiday was also educational. (by Senay Frezghi

Joufa: My mum, my brother and I were in Joufa. In Joufa we saw a
big fat tree. My big brother and me climbed it with our cousins. When
we got up the tree, I saw a hole on the tree. Afterwards we went
back. What I liked about Joufa was the mountains and the lovely
green grass. My cousins and me and my brother were throwing
stones and caught a blue and green bird and threw them up in the
sky.(by Henoc Semin Hiyanboua, 11)
Germany I went to and I had fun and it is a nice country. (by Tomas

Inchinaq: On my holiday, I went to Eritrea. My dad’s brother took us
to Inchinaq. We climbed a mountain. Inchinaq is a very nice place to
live in. (by Yonatan Yohannes Medin, 8)
It's the tree waving side to side and the sun shining as angels
singing and bells ringing. Flowers are growing and grandma is
sowing, What a wonderful world. (Faban Semna Hiyabou 9)
Massawa is in Eritrea. My first impression of it was that it has a fantastic beach with wonderful
warm sand. The sea is wonderful and blue. The jellyfishes were a mixture of orange and red (I
was really scared of them). The temperature was extremely hot. The hotels were nice, while I
was entering, I saw wonderful marble flooring and wonderful rooms but unfortunately, there
were lots of mosquitoes. The people are fantastic and very kind. It was really exiting holiday. I
recommend you to go to Massawa. (Sada Mowes 11)
Ashera: There are big mountains surrounding
the town. There is no ground but grass which is
wet and people bring out rocks out of the town.
There’s a school without doors, The children
study there when there is a bright sun light..
